The actives and the oils
Laminaria are brown kelps, large seaweeds of cold Atlantic waters. Their extracts are rich in polysaccharides, such as alginates, and in minerals.
The polysaccharides hold water and leave a soft, smooth film, so kelp extract is used for a hydrating, soothing effect.
