The actives and the oils
Safflower oil is pressed from the seeds of the safflower, a thistle-like plant. Most cosmetic grades are rich in linoleic acid.
It softens without heaviness, which suits a clay mask: a little oil keeps the clay from leaving skin feeling tight.

Questions
It is one of the lighter oils, and many people with combination skin get on with it. Patch-test, as with any oil.
