What L'Élixir will not do
- Go on last. It is water-based, so it belongs beneath your cream rather than on top of it.
- Replace sunscreen. Sun is most of visible ageing, and we do not make an SPF — buy one you will actually wear.
- Work overnight. Skin moves at its own pace, and anything sold on a faster one is selling the promise.
Buy something else if
- You are vegan. It contains honey (as mel extract), and we would rather you knew now.
- You need it this week. Nothing is made until you order it: two to four business days to make, then the lab's weekly dispatch — up to seven business days before it even ships. The first time the lab makes a piece for us it can take up to two weeks longer.

Where does L'Élixir go in my routine?
In the evening, after cleansing and before moisturiser. Serums go on thinnest-first, so anything watery goes before it and anything creamy goes after.
What should I expect, and how soon?
An anti-aging serum works on the look of skin over weeks, not days. Most people notice smoother-feeling skin within a couple of weeks and a softer look to fine lines over two to three months of nightly use. We would rather under-promise.
Can I use it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Its full ingredient list, on this page, contains no retinoid. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding and unsure about any ingredient in it, ask your doctor before using L'Élixir.
Can I use it with other actives?
Introduce one new product at a time and give it two weeks before adding the next. Daily sunscreen is wise alongside any anti-aging routine.
Is L'Élixir cruelty-free — and is it vegan?
Cruelty-free, yes: nothing in the range is tested on animals, at any stage or by any party. Vegan, no: according to our lab's ingredient list, L'Élixir contains honey (as mel extract). Most of the rest of the range is vegan.
