Is it vegan?
Lecithin is a mixture of phospholipids, the same kind of fatty molecules that make up cell membranes. Commercial lecithin is mostly extracted from soybeans or sunflower seeds; egg-yolk lecithin exists but is less common in skincare.
It helps oil and water stay mixed, softens the skin, and can help carry other ingredients into the formula evenly.

Questions
Usually, because most lecithin comes from soy or sunflower. But egg lecithin exists and the list doesn’t say which is used, so it depends on the maker.
It is a mild, widely used ingredient and is generally well tolerated.
