Is it vegan?
Stearic acid is a fatty acid found in both plant and animal fats. Cosmetic stearic acid is mostly made from vegetable fats such as palm or coconut, but tallow-derived stearic acid also exists.
It thickens a cream, helps keep it stable, and gives it a smooth, rich feel.
