Is it vegan?
Glycerin (also called glycerol) is a simple, sweet-tasting liquid. It can be made from plant oils, from animal fats, or synthetically. Most cosmetic glycerin today comes from plant oils such as palm, soy or coconut.
It is one of the most effective and best-studied humectants: it draws water into the outer layer of the skin and helps it stay there. That is why it sits near the top of so many lists.
