Is it vegan?
Squalane is the stable, hydrogenated form of squalene, an oil that skin makes naturally. It used to be taken from shark liver oil; today most cosmetic squalane comes from olives or sugarcane.
It softens and smooths without feeling greasy, and it is very stable, so it doesn’t go rancid the way many plant oils do.
