Parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben and their relatives) are preservatives that were used in cosmetics for decades. Concern about them grew in the 2000s, and many brands moved away from them.
They were chosen because they are cheap, effective and well tolerated. Our pieces are preserved with other ingredients, most often phenoxyethanol.

Every list is the manufacturer’s own, and each is checked for parabens whenever the site is built. 6 pieces don’t publish a list yet, so we can’t speak for them: Le Renouveau, L'Enlumineur, Le Savon, Pastèque, Cerise, Pêche.

Every ingredient list we publish is paraben-free. A few pieces don’t publish a list yet, named on this page; we can’t speak for those until they do.
Regulators in the EU and US allow the common parabens at limited concentrations and consider them safe at those levels; a few were banned in the EU. Many people still prefer to avoid them, which is why we checked.
How we know: every ingredient list on this site is the manufacturer’s own, read piece by piece and shade by shade, and the pieces above are worked out from those lists each time the site is built. Ingredient names and functions follow the EU’s CosIng database. This page describes cosmetic ingredients; it isn’t medical advice.
