What it is
A botanical soap in four compositions — coconut, neem, lemongrass, and peppermint. The oldest ritual in the house, done properly.
In your life
Mass-market bars are detergent in soap's clothing — that squeaky-tight feeling is your skin's lipids leaving. This bar has a rich, creamy lather that cleans and leaves skin comfortable instead of asking your moisturizer to fix it.
It also simply makes the sink corner beautiful. Small object, disproportionate pleasure, excellent houseguest impression.
What to expect — honestly
Clean skin without the tight aftermath, from the first wash. A bar lasts about a month of daily showers when kept dry. Coconut is the gentle all-rounder; peppermint is the morning vote.

Will Le Savon dry my skin?
It is formulated to cleanse gently rather than strip. Letting the bar dry between uses on a draining dish also keeps it firm and long-lasting.
Can I use it on my face?
It is designed for the body. For the face, a dedicated cleanser is gentler on the areas that matter most.
Is Le Savon cruelty-free — and is it vegan?
Cruelty-free, without exception: nothing in the range is tested on animals, at any stage or by any party. Vegan: we don't yet hold the full ingredient list for Le Savon, so we won't claim it until we do. Most of the range is vegan; going by our lab's lists, these pieces are not: La Crème (beeswax); La Crème de Nuit (beeswax); Le Contour (lanolin alcohol and honey); Le Gommage Corps (honey); L'Anticerne (lanolin (as acetylated lanolin alcohol)); L'Éclat (lanolin and beeswax, and some shades may contain carmine); La Teinte (beeswax in sixteen of its twenty-two shades, and most may contain carmine; Shy, Cinnamon, Rose, Firedown and Dazzle read vegan); Le Crayon Lèvres (beeswax); Le Rouge (a synthetic wax rather than beeswax, but some shades may contain carmine); L'Élixir (honey (as mel extract)); La Crème de Jour (honey (as mel extract)); Le Mascara (beeswax).
