Why it’s in a formula
It gives a cream body and a smooth, non-sticky texture, and helps keep the emulsion stable.
- The worry is acrylamide, the building block it is made from, which is toxic. EU rules limit the acrylamide left in cosmetic polyacrylamide to trace levels, lowest of all in leave-on body products.
