'Clean' has been said so often it now means almost nothing. So let us be specific. Every Divina formula is cruelty-free without exception — nothing is ever tested on animals. Most are vegan as well, but not all. Going by our lab's ingredient lists, these are not: La Crème (beeswax); La Crème de Nuit (beeswax); Le Contour (lanolin alcohol and honey); Le Gommage Corps (honey); L'Anticerne (lanolin (as acetylated lanolin alcohol)); L'Éclat (lanolin and beeswax, and some shades may contain carmine); La Teinte (beeswax in sixteen of its twenty-two shades, and most may contain carmine; Shy, Cinnamon, Rose, Firedown and Dazzle read vegan); Le Crayon Lèvres (beeswax); Le Rouge (a synthetic wax rather than beeswax, but some shades may contain carmine); L'Élixir (honey (as mel extract)); La Crème de Jour (honey (as mel extract)); Le Mascara (beeswax). Each of their pages says so rather than hide it. Specificity is the whole point.
The same goes for everything else on a label. Le Purifiant, for instance, foams with sulfolaurate and sulfoacetate cleansers rather than sodium lauryl sulfate, and it does contain fragrance and a blue colourant. Its full list is on its page, so you can judge for yourself.
Made in North America, in considered batches, because provenance is part of the product, not a slogan. We would rather tell you what is in a formula than decorate the label with what is not.
Vegan, for us, is a fact to check against a list, not a headline. Where the list says otherwise, so do we.
